Best Time To Visit Kalinchowk

In my opinion, the best time to visit Kalinchowk is between October and February because snowfall is very likely to occur during this time. Kalinchowk temple is now accessible via a cable car ride with views of the mountain and Kuri village. Domestic tourists are now flocking to Kalinchowk. Kalinchowk is a popular winter destination for travelers who enjoy snow fun. In Kalinchowk, you will find yourself at a height of 3450 meters above sea level. About Kalinchowk Bhagawati Temple

An iron bridge connects it with the summit of the mountain on top of a peak in the Dolakha district of Nepal. Worshippers gather at this temple, accompanied by the gods of Jhankri, and offer rice to the goddess, while Trisuls and bronze bells are offered by the Hindus.

Thousands of Trisuls have been deposited at Kalinchowk Bhagwati temple by generations of passers-by for centuries. The stone behind this stone is stained with goat and lamb blood, which was sacrificed a few meters away, on a similar peak. An image of two Trisuls is drawn in crude black ink on a wooden board behind this stone.

As the blood from the decapitated fowls’ necks trickles down the board, feathers from the fowl to be sacrificed are spread over it, and feathers are placed on the board itself. There is a stone shed near Kalinchowk Mai temple which was built by the late Prime Minister Chandra Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana.

Kalinchowk Tour Package Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu to Kuri Village

On the morning of the 10th, we will leave Kathmandu at 7:30 AM to go to Mude, where we will have lunch (Vegetarian lunch) about an hour later. Our final destination for Day 01 will be Kuri Village which we will reach around 5-6 PM. We will arrive in Charikot around 1:30 PM and then rest for a while before heading out to our final destination of Charikot by 2 PM. We will have a Welcome Tea when we arrive at our Hotel in Kuri Village and then after taking some time to rest and experience the campfire program in the Hotel, we will have an evening dinner (non-vegetarian).

Day 02: Kuri Village to Kalinchowk/Return back to Kathmandu

Approximately three to four hours of hiking separate Kuri Village from Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple. Hiking begins between 6:00 and 7:00 AM. In addition to the cable car, Kalinchowk Temple, located at the top of Kalinchowk Hill Station, is approximately five minutes from Kuri Village by car. We will be served breakfast at the hotel by 9:00 AM so that we can admire the breathtaking view from the Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple.

Charikot Dolakha Bhimsen Mandir is our next destination after lunch. After we visit another holy place in Charikot, we will return to Kathmandu between 6-7 PM.

2 Days Trisuli Rafting and Overnight Stay

There is also the option of 1-day rafting in Trishuli

There is a confluence of the Budhi Gandaki and Trisuli River a few kilometers upstream of The River Fun beach resort, and the seasonal variations of the volume of water from the two rivers determine which section of The Trisuli to raft (above or below the confluence). The upper section is usually “run” during the Monsoon (Jul-Oct), whereas the lower section is run from November through June.

In the post-monsoon season, the river has a few Grade IV rapids as well as Grade II+ and III+ rapids. Some of the more notable rapids are ‘Snell’s Nose’, ‘Teen Devi’, ‘Ladies Delight’, ‘Upset’, and the quite appropriately named ‘Surprise’ rapid.

Three hours from Kathmandu, this fun river and its green valley are waiting for you. We will be staying at The River Fun beach resort tented camp in Kurintar, which is a prime location for barbecue, candlelight, and camaraderie. We will raft until lunch the next day, and then go on to Pokhara, Chitwan, Bandipur, or Kathmandu the following day.

DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1:

Kathmandu to Charaudi 85 kilometer drive takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. On this trip you will encounter a few class 2 or 3 rapids called “LADISE DELIGHT” and stop for lunch on the river.

After lunch white water hit a class 2 to 3 rapid called “UPSET” and “SURPRISE” At River Fun Beach Resort, stop and have hot Tea/Coffee with snacks at about 6:00 p.m. You will eat your dinner at Camp.

Day 2:

Wake up at 6:30 in the morning with tea/coffee. A village tour will take about two hours, after which you will be taken back to the resort, where breakfast will be served before setting out on the raft trip. After the rapids you will be driven back to Kathmandu / Pokhara / Chitwan by public transportation after having encountered Class 2 or 3 rapids (BIJILI RAPID and “TEAPOT”).

Itinerary Details

Day 1:

The trip from Kathmandu takes about 3 to 4 hours to Charaudi, 85 kilometers away. There will be a couple of class 2 or 3 rapids called “LADIES DELIGHT” on this trip, and a lunch stop. Then, at River Fun Beach Resort, you can enjoy hot tea or coffee with snacks after white water rapids such as “UPSET” and “SURPRISE”. You will have a campfire and buffet dinner at the resort around 7:00 p.m.

Day 2:

Breakfast and tea are served around 6:30 in the morning. Our camping guide will take you on a village tour until you board your tourist bus for Pokhara/Kathmandu/Chitwan. Approximately ten thirty in the morning, you will drive to the next destination.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:

The drive to Chauradhi, which can be reached in 3 hours by bus, begins at 7:00 a.m. from Kathmandu. River Fun Beach Resort Welcome Rapid, as well as River Fun Beach Resort, are part of the trip, which includes a number of rapids lasting 3 to 4 hours in length, such as Welcome, Twin Rocks, Big Smile, Ladies Delight, Landslide, Surprise, Butterfly, Upset First, Upset Second, Upset Third, and River Fun Beach Resort Welcome Rapid.

We then enjoy the natural beauty of Trishuli River Beach Resort, adjacent to River Fun Beach Resort, for a tasty organic buffet lunch. In addition to swimming in the resort pool, you can go sightseeing, play volleyball, badminton, and swing during your stay. Around 7:00 p.m., the resort will host a campfire and buffet dinner.

Day 2:

Morning tea and breakfast will be served to you around 6:30 a.m. Once you’re done with breakfast, you’ll go on a temple tour around Manakamana Temple. Your next destination will be reached around 11:00 am.

Trishuli Rafting with Canyoning Package

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY (1 Night/ 2 Days)

Day 01:- 4 Hour Rafting & Overnight

We drive from Kathmandu to the rafting starting point Charaudi Red House (81KM from Kathmandu). During this thrilling rafting trip, you will experience rapids of class 2 or 3. At River Fun Beach Resort, you will have hot buffet lunch after class 2 to 3 rapids named “UPSET” & SURPRISE”.

The guests have the opportunity to swim at our own private pool, and kayak, visit the local farm, pick up fruits from the garden, fish, etc. in their free time. In the evening, we will make a campfire by our private riverbank with some light snacks and sing songs, dance on the beach, or do other activities. Finally, we will serve dinner at about 9:00 pm and overnight in Deluxe Safari Tents or Regular Tents.

Day 02:- Breakfast & Departure

We recommend waking up for breakfast and tea around 7:30 a.m. The Canyoning guide will pick you up later in the morning. After about thirty minutes of driving, you will arrive at Jalbire Canyoning, where you will begin canyoning. A guide provides lunch and transportation to the next destination after the canyoning trip is complete.

About The Cliff Nepal’s Kushma Swing

This suspension bridge is considered to be the tallest in Nepal, and as such is visited by many tourists from nearby and farther away. This swing is part of the 623 BC Rock Garden and Restaurant, which is set to be the locality’s own bungee jumping platform.
